It’s far from complete, but launched a Twitter swap site tonight. The basic idea is to have creative folks offer their skills or services and swap skills with others to get things done without the taint of cash. We’ll see how it goes…..

I might be the last person to know these things, but if you wish to invoke a rake task within another rake task, here’s the syntax:
Rake::Task["thinking_sphinx:index"].invoke
And, if you happen to get funky “bad minute” errors when trying to setup said rake task via cron, make sure your cron command fits on one line while ediiting [...]

Excellent news from RailsConf regarging GemStone’s new Ruby VM. Although, with all this work, I do sorta wonder why can’t we just push Smalltalk more into the mainstream? Or is it already secretly mainstream?
